I want to indicate why I wanted to have a website and to explain my ‘vision’ for it. The reasons of generating an audience for the film and to help raise finance are pretty obvious and expected throughout the industry.

The main thing which excites me about the website is that I will be able to provide a detailed roadmap for how we made the film which can be referred to and used by other film makers. It will also act as a useful learning device for me when hopefully I make a second film and I can miss out all the mistakes from the first. I am not saying ‘this is how to make a film’ but ‘this is how I made a film’ as we will make countless mistakes along the way and naturally every project differs.

The other reason is that I love watching ‘making of’ documentaries of films (sometimes more than the films!). Having the website set up at the start of the project will create an area for me to start collecting video footage of the different steps along the way so that when the time comes I can cut an awesome documentary myself.
