Equity Investment Proposal

Today I released a financial proposal for the film in order to raise the appropriate finance to be able to make the film. I sent the proposal to everyone that I know (actually everyone that I know whose email address I could find!). The following is the executive summary of the proposal. If anyone is interested in investing in the film please click here to contact Bryan.

This guide provides the information required to understand the options available for the investment in the micro-budget film Booked Out, a quirky comedy which has been written by Bryan O'Neil who will also produce and direct the film. The film will be shot in September 2009 and is scheduled to be complete in Q1 of 2010.

Bryan has assembled an exciting cast and crew who are dedicated to bringing his characters and story to life. The cast includes Mirren Burke, a recent graduate of the world renowned Lee Strasberg method acting school in New York, Mark West, an up and coming musician and actor, and Claire Garvey who is appearing in her début feature film following impressive showings in a number of short films.

The production is looking for equity investment that will be used to provide the overall budget of £150k that will be required to produce the completed feature film. Information on the investment opportunities available (premium and profit share rates) are available on request.

The production team have a realistic sales forecast and marketing strategy which they believe has the potential to allow the film to be sold within the UK and European markets and to have a cost efficient internet marketing campaign. The marketing strategy targets the UK market first while taking the film on the film festival circuit to generate a buzz. The film will then be marketed to a European audience.

There are tax relief opportunities available through the government Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) which is designed to allow small higher-risk companies raise finance. An income tax relief of 20% of the investment is available so for a £1000 investment the net cost would be £800.

The deadline for the current round of shares will be Wednesday 12th August.
