32 days to go - Soho streets

Going to be a quick blog today as I am just getting ready to head off to get the last train to Bristol so that I can join Sam to recce some locations tomorrow. This morning I had more meetings set up with different contacts to try and get some deals on post production deals and also to meet another potential executive who is interested about our project. It is really annoying to not be able to tell you exactly who we are meeting but I think it is only fair to keep that info to myself as we are trying to get the best deal possible for the film.

What I always wondered where all these Soho deals you hear about are meant to be taking place and slowly but surely I am finding out. I think I have walked past numerous film companies for the past few years without really knowing that they exist. I have also been taken to a couple of members clubs for meetings as well. Today was funny when I was in a pretty nice and swanky members club and five minutes after the meeting I was sitting in Subway with my lovely sub of the day. At least it wasn't a Greggs. mmmm...

Anyway enough about food. We are still trying to organise lots of things so it feels a bit like nudging everything forward a little then looking at it at the end of the day and thinking is that as far as they have moved. Some areas are obviously needing more attention than others and I think just now it would be safe to say for us it would be finding a suitable location to shoot the block of flats scenes in. Sure we will get there but not having the locations nailed down just holds up some other things down the line so we are frantically trying to secure the flats as they make up about 70% of the scripts locations.

Other than that we are progressing some things that will hopefully come to fruition early next week and then I can announce them rather than having lots of things 95% of the way there.

Ok, better get moving as there is a train to catch!
