Booked Out

Sam joins the project with 2 Short Film Producing credits to his name. "Julian’s Garden" and "Revs". After achieving a 2:1 in Maths at Cardiff University he went travelling around South America, USA, Mexico, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Next came 18 months working as a consultant in Bristol and London. A role as an Assistant Project manager on a major defence contract urged Sam to apply his project management skills elsewhere and soon he was producing Julian's Garden in his spare time away from work. After successfully producing Julian’s Garden and consequently joining the crew on short film Revs as producer he made the decision to concentrate on Film Producing and is now a freelance producer.

Sam has recently produced a Music Video for Hip-Hop artist DJ Ironik that is due to do the rounds on MTV and other mainstream music channels. He also submitted his 90 second script "Rapunzel" to the Mini Masterpieces competition allowing him to produce and direct his film that was screened at the Bristol Encounters Film Festival on November 21st. The challenge lay in the quick turn around where the film makers had two days to create the finished article. All filming was done on the Thursday, editing on the Friday, and the screening on the Saturday.

Sam plans to dedicate the next 18 months of his life to making Booked Out a reality. As his Producing career has just kicked off he is hugely motivated to succeed and sees Booked Out as a big challenge, but with the right amount of work and dedication, one that can be achieved.

"I have learnt more in my time as a Film Producer than I did in 3 years at University and the following 2 years of Consultancy work. I could literally write a book, but fear that no one would be interested enough to read it! Perhaps it's because I now know that this is what I want to do with my life and I am going to put every ounce of effort I have into making Booked Out a reality!"
